Founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors
Rick
Dutta is a seasoned entrepreneur and a CEO with over 25 years of
experience in high tech industry and computer software technology.
He founded Nexgenix as an IT Services company, in 1990. Under his
leadership, the company grew to over 700 people worldwide and close
to $100m in revenue. In 2002, Nexgenix as an IT Services company
was sold off. Nexgenix re-emerged in the same year as a product
company focusing on "execution-oriented planning" in the
enterprise application software space.
Rick's vision is to provide the industry with a new generation
of enterprise application solution that helps in closing the gap
between planning and execution. This type of execution-oriented
decision making software bridges the gap between people, processes
and existing technology solution within a company, and re-aligns
the organization decision-making along with increasing efficiency
and profitability. Rick oversees the day-to-day operations and sets
the direction for Nexgenix business strategy, product development,
sales and marketing, organization, and financial strategy.
Prior to Nexgenix, Rick spent more than 10 years in various management
positions with Hewlett-Packard and Unisys. He currently serves on
a number of boards, including the University of California, Irvine
Chief Executive Roundtable. He also serves as an advisory board
member within a number of schools within UC Irvine. Rick earned
an MBA from UCLA and has both a master's and bachelor's degree in
engineering.
